Prior to founding JBI, Beers enjoyed a distinguished six year tenure with the world – renowned architectural firm of I.M. Pei & Partners. At Pei, Beers served as Project Architect on a number of significant projects, including the four tower multi – use Raffles City complex Japonais in Singapore, the deluxe Fragrant Hill Hotel outside of Beijing, the Morton N. Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas, and Mt. Sinai Hospital’s Medical Center in New York City.
Jeffrey’s education and professional training are equally impressive. After receiving his architecture degree from the distinguished Rhode Island School of Design, he earned the Fullbright Fellowship for International Architecture. Club FloatThis prestigious apprenticeship enabled beers to pursue his keen interest in the relationship between architecture and light as it allowed him to study and practice the art of glass and glass blowing with renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly. Continued collaboration and work with the medium provide beers an unparalleled expertise in glass – both as material, and light design element – as evidenced in each of his projects to date.
The firm’s portfolio is diverse, counting among its many projects commercial properties, corporate interiors, hotel spaces, restaurants, nightclubs and retail stores, as well as a number of single family homes and residential interior spaces.
